De-constructing Church: WHY SO MANY CHURCHES? Part 3

De-constructing Church: Part 3
-rory moore

Why so many churches?
Is the purpose to gather people, into a bigger "barn" and become part of a 501c3 Corporation separated from other groups and calling itself by another Name?

Is the Sunday showcase a Christian practice found in Scripture?
=>> The efforts for most of us was trying to get people into our building (church), most of which are powerless assemblies in the confused, competitive, conflicting, and too often corrupt church world.

(=>> and NO, >> *not* all are corrupt) :( .

 Building people not buildings.
To whom it may concern. Dear brethren:
From Paul speaking to EPHESIAN BISHOPS from the congregation at Ephesus.

Acts 20:
34 You yourselves know that
👉these hands (Paul's) ministered to my own needs
AND ðŸ‘‰ to the men who were with me.
35)
In everything I showed you that by working hard in this manner
👉 you must help the weak
and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He Himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”

The NLT renders:
35 And I have been a constant example of how you can help those in need by working hard.
You should remember the words of the Lord Jesus:
‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”

Paul told them to edify God's PEOPLE nothing about a nice facility.

In Acts, the people gatherings were together in homes mostly, "house to house"), the disciples walked in love for one another and power.
Here is a good word from a godly man on this.

NOTE THE WORDS "ONE ANOTHER", these are only a few of the many examples.
1 Corinthians 11:33  So then, my brethren, when you come together to eat, wait for one another.
1 Corinthians 12:25 so that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another.
1 Corinthians 16:20  All the brethren greet you. Greet *one another* with a holy kiss.
2 Corinthians 13:12  Greet *one another* with a holy kiss.
Galatians 5:13 For you were called to freedom, brethren; only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh,
*but through love serve one another.*
Galatians 5:15  But if you bite and devour *one another*, take care that you are not consumed by one another.

A LOT of what we call "church" came from pagan, Roman religious life.

Part 4 pastor idolatry?
