Jesus, son of Joseph or son of God??

 

Was Jesus the bio son of Joseph or the son of God??
Let's see how Godly people can be deceived by a twisted use of scripture.

Precept:  that Joseph fathered Jesus Christ through sexual union with Mary.
Here is an example given to show this theory:

Philip finds Nathanael, and said to him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph. 

They went on to use the "seed of David" and lineage through Joseph to further the argument. 
Luke 3:8 And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said to him, Son, why have you done this with us? 👉your father and I have sought for you sorrowing”.

When reading her position, the woman advocating this almost sounded believable... So subtle..

Let's reconcile and test the paternity.

John 8:19 Then said they to him, Where is thy Father?
Jesus answered,  You 𝗻𝗲𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗺𝗲, 𝗻𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝘆 𝗙𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿:
if you had known me, you should have known my Father also.

But they knew Joseph.

John 6:42
And they said, Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know?
But Luke mentioned Jesus as "the supposed" son of Joseph in the genealogy.
There are some more scriptures mentioning Jesus as Joseph's son.

Let’s compare something, is King David is the Father of Jesus? -I know, it is a minor quibble, but some people build doctrines on a single verse.

Luke 1:32 He shall be great and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give to him the throne of his father David.

Jesus is called what?
Luke 1:32 He shall be great, and shall be called the son of the Highest.

How to test paternity: let’s insert “Joseph” into these passages using “Father”:

John 10:38  But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that <Joseph> the Father is in me, and I in him.

John 11:27 She said to him, Yes, Lord: I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of Joseph <God> , which should come into the world.

John wrote for us to believe Jesus is the son of Joseph?
John 20:31 But these are written,
that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the SON OF GOD;

God’s “only begotten son”? 
John 1:18 No man has seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he has declared him.

1 John 4:9 By this the love of God was manifested in us,
that God has sent 👉His only begotten Son 👈into the world so that we might live through Him.

Don't fall for the deceiver that seeks to dethrone the Son of God and make another Jesus that was the bio son of Joseph.

Joseph took the 👉only begotten son of God👈 into his family and raised him as his son, along with the brothers and sisters of Jesus that were bio-fathered by Joseph and Mary.

Joseph and Mary could not and did not proclaim Jesus as God’s son to the family, neighbors, or people. Jesus was revealed as the son of God in the right time.

The error of Jesus being the bio-son of Joseph makes him no different than the rest of Joseph and Mary's children except Jesus was their firstborn.

𝙏𝙝𝙚 "𝙊𝙉𝙇𝙔 𝘽𝙀𝙂𝙊𝙏𝙏𝙀𝙉" 𝙨𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙂𝙊𝘿 𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙚𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙅𝙤𝙨𝙚𝙥𝙝 𝙛𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙅𝙚𝙨𝙪𝙨 𝙚𝙧𝙧𝙤𝙧.

Jesus, was conceived by the WORD, and named, before Mary and Joseph came together.
Luke 3:21 And when eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the child, his name was called Jesus, 👉which was so named of the angel before he was conceived in the womb.

"they did not understand what he spoke to them"
Luke 3:8 And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said to him, Son, why have you done this with us? 👉your father and I have sought for you sorrowing”.

49 And he said How is it that ye sought me? Don’t you know that I must be about my Father’s business?

Was he speaking of Joseph the carpenter's business?
-I think not.  This was when Jesus was 12, years before he was baptized by John.

Like those that ascribe paternity to Joseph: And they did not understand the saying which he spoke to them”

The simple truth is because Joseph raised Jesus as his son in their family, Joseph was called as and known as (it was supposed) the father of Jesus.

The wonderful truth from scripture is Jesus was begotten by the Word, the "seed" (sperma) received by Mary in faith, which brought forth the child called Jesus, the Christ.

 The same God-breathed Word still brings forth Christ in us that likewise receive and believe His WORD.

1Peter 1:23  for you have been born again not of seed  (sperma) which is perishable but imperishable (seed), through the living and enduring word of God.

Where did Jesus honor Joseph as his bio-father?
Jesus said: Luke 18:20 Do not bear false witness, Honor thy father and thy mother.

John 8:49 Jesus answered, I have not a devil; but I honor my Father, and you do dishonor me.

2 Peter 1:17 𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐠𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐲, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory,  this is my beloved son, in whom I am well pleased.

John tells us to believe:
but these are written that you might believe that Jesus is the Christ, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐨d;
and that believing you might have life through his name.
