Hearing Aids. 👂"The PAINT ON JEZEBEL'S FACE":
The Word that God spoke to me in 1992 when I began to recognize and hear His Voice and we were being called to leave our church denomination.

-As I was working in our former carpet cleaning business, it happened.
As Pentecostals for 12 years, I was an ordained minister in the UPC but times were troubled, and we were seeking to know God's Will and question our Father in heaven regarding church matters.

As I worked in an empty apartment, I began 👂 hearing strong words in my mind. At first I thought it was my own thoughts.

👂 But the Words were repeated and I realized they were not mine, nor were they being heard in my mind as words I would say or think. -I began to listen and this is what I heard, I knew of a certainty they were not my words.

"THE PAINT ON JEZEBEL'S FACE WAS NOTHING COMPARED TO THE PAINT OF MANS' RIGHTEOUSNESS WITH WHICH YOU HAVE PAINTED OVER THE FACE OF GOD"

what!! ??? It was shocking.
Our Pentecostal church was strong on rules and tradition. For 12 years we never questioned them and lived them.

Some found them oppressive, others said we were "LEGALISTS!"
But we lived with the "holiness standards" faithfully as we followed our church leaders.
🎯How could they be wrong?" We trusted.

But then I *heard* in my mind,
"THE PAINT ON JEZEBEL'S FACE WAS NOTHING COMPARED TO THE PAINT OF MANS' RIGHTEOUSNESS WITH WHICH YOU HAVE PAINTED OVER THE FACE OF GOD".

"ME?, guilty of hiding God's righteousness with our church tradition?"" THAT was scary.
I wrote the Word of the Lord down and returned to my work.

Then...
👂"TASTE NOT TOUCH NOT HANDLE NOT. NOTHING IS UNCLEAN OF ITSELF. TO THE PURE ALL THINGS ARE PURE".

The VOICE I was hearing was AUTHORITATIVE.
Rather than dismissing the thoughts,
I wrote the words down with the others, but I was shaken.

The second paragraph I found out later was scripture, confirmed by two passages verbatim.

I wonder how many times God speaks to His children and they shake off The Voice by attributing His words to their own thoughts?

If you LISTEN, you will hear. (Unless you are in willful sin which separates.
Neither God nor me can make someone hear The Voice that comes to us through His Spirit into our mind and spirit.
HE SPEAKS TO HIS CHILDREN.

Listen for Him. He wants you to HEAR HIS VOICE.

The Lord led us out of that Denomination, we had put our trust in man, in our leaders, in our traditions. And God wanted us for Himself. So we went on to repent regarding the false ways of our church ways.

for the Lord revealed Himself to Samuel in Shiloh

"As I speak to my people through my words, they learn of Me by the scriptures.

But as I speak individually to each one of you uniquely by my Spirit, it is because I have made each of you uniquely.

When I speak to you individually as your Father, it is because I know you and I know you better than you know you.

I know your past, present, and future in the now moment. I knew the choices you make before you made them, and their consequences, whether of My Will or not.

I made you each different and unique and I despise the religion that seeks to conform you to them instead of conforming you to Jesus.

I made your character and thought patterns and gave you the choice of which are good and which are to be rejected.

All that is in the world, the voices of media, religion, and opinions seek to drown out MY Word and My Voice.

I know them that oppose you and as I love you, I love them.

Your adversary is their adversary.

He seeks to devour you and them and he does it through words.

In order to live in the time remaining, the need to discern what voice you are hearing will save you and others from harm and destruction.

Satan is a wizard and his voices go throughout the world and fill the air and space.

All that is of this world is darkness and deception.

I am speaking to My children but many do not listen, instead they listen to other voices and by them they are deceived.

MY WORD will judge them that turn you away from what My Spirit says.

What I give you is life and Spirit, and My Spirit produces the fruits I desire in your life."

Don't Stick OUT YOUR TONGUE AT TONGUES

 

Someone asked in a challenge "WHAT WAS THE PURPOSE" they spoke in tongues!?  -as we read from Acts Chapter 2.

The question's purpose was meant to distract and cast doubt as we read from the Book of Acts.
Had we continued, ACTS 10 and 19 also bore witness to Acts 2 when those believers believed.
Nor did she think to ask about Mark 16:20 "in my name they shall speak with new tongues".

But I digress. In the days following, I gave her her response to the subject of tongues consideration. WHY tongues in the Book of Acts as people received the gift of the Holy Spirit? What was the purpose? As I pondered, the Lord gave answers and I then knew she mis-understood.

As God gave His Spirit in a NEW WAY, it says in Acts 2:11 When the Jews from the various nations heard them speaking with tongues "the wonderful works of God".... "in their own languages", they were not hearing the gospel of Jesus Christ. They heard of God's wonderful works, perhaps they spoke scriptures concerning tongues from the prophets, or God's prophetic promises, we do not know.

What we DO KNOW IS: ***PETER*** would preach the gospel and WHO JESUS IS immediately after this, And Peter explained what those Jews were hearing and seeing in the disciples of Jesus. -Acts 2:14-21 You can read the the short passage

So WHAT WAS THE PURPOSE OF TONGUES?

... Peter said it was a sign to the Jews of:
1. fulfillment of prophetic scripture for God's people that believe.
2. It was a supernatural sign to the unconverted Jews that they had ALL been filled with the Holy Ghost.
3. It was SO THEY WOULD BELIEVE GOD confirming His Word.
4. IT WAS WHAT GOD HIMSELF CHOSE TO DO IN THEM.
5. The SAME HOLY GHOST would fill non-Jews later in ACTS 10 and Acts 19 with the SAME sign.

6. SO YOU SHOULD BELIEVE ALSO. Because there are false and fakes, we should not stumble in unbelief to the real. God is still filling people with the real Holy Ghost and the evidence of tongues.

Addendum: In Acts 2 and 10 there was no Corinthian church for people to read about. Corinth began in Acts 18, and Paul later wrote them in regard to the GIFTS (plural), the Corinthians spoke with tongues as also did the Ephesians in Acts 19. What is sad is how some people are compelled to disparage and reject what Jesus said they could have, what Peter explained, what the gentiles in Acts 10:47 received, what the Jews received in Acts 2, what the Ephesian experienced in Acts 19. What Paul said was something one would have to build up his faith, speak not to men but to God, and edify himself.
