Consider Luke 21.
How could we have overlooked this signs-of-the-end-time warning?
-as many others did likewise including the men on radio, internet, YouTube, and a host of book writers?

“Be careful that you are not deceived,” he replied.
“There will be many coming in my name, saying ‘I am he’ (IOW, Jesus is Lord) and ‘The time is very near now.’ Never follow men like that...... "

He replied: “Watch out that you are not deceived. For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am he,’ and ‘The time is near.’ Do not follow them.

And in the Numeric ASV: and He said see you be not led astray, for many shall come in my name saying "I am He"; and "the season is near", GO NOT AFTER THEM.
Christ-confessing ministers saying the time is at hand, the season is near, ARE right now, leading many astray with false words that feed "hopium". (hop-ee-um, i.e. unrealistic hopes)
The FIRST warning Jesus gave regarding the end times was the SIGN that many would lead astray, ---> and that it would be those saying "the TIME is at hand".

So in that category the past few years we have:
- NO predicted earthquakes hit, and the ones that came were missed.
- NO special "anointing of the manchild" came in September or October.
- NO Comet Elenin disasters or even becoming visible
- NO appearing of Planet X
- NO, the New Madrid did not split open and isolate an ark-shaped refuge in which the "anointed" people
could take the abandoned property of fleeing residents..
- NO predicted earthquakes hit, and the ones that came were missed.

-no pre-trib rapture in any of the 2023 dates.

- NO, the 11-11-11 Hoover Dam terrorist destruction missed (via a YouTube prophet)
- ALAS! even the Great Pumpkin did not arrive for Halloween as Linus, the cartoon series character in "Peanuts' hoped for every year ....
But a pattern of failed dates, dreams, and disasters are exactly what we are told would be an end-time sign!
Did He really mean it and does it apply to the date-setting prophecy teacher?

If they predict dates, confirmed by dreams or whatever they are leading us astray, no disciple in the New Testament dangled dates and disasters as a lure for followers.
Acts 1:7 And he said unto them, ---> It is not for you to know times or seasons, which the Father hath set within His own authority.
We need to repent of the lust to know and/or have special end-time knowledge...
We too can fall into a "working of error", a strong delusion.... because no man is exempt from deception.
The truth here is Jesus does not want us following date-setting people no matter how much Christ they confess and teach.
The second truth is He does not want our minds and spirits POLLUTED by fear. Beware of constant mind-control and manipulation by pointing us toward their particular vision or philosophy, by those seeking a following.
Fear using carrot-and-stick dates that constantly move forward is a tactic that keeps people following the "date" setters who must then move the goal posts for their followers..
Call him apostle, pastor, watchman, or rabbi and we lean on and follow his revelation, there is idolatry and our mind will be veiled from truth.

-especially when God told us ahead of time, "they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;"
The Lord, by His grace, has granted us repentance and deliverance from the error that had us bound.
The hidden "leaven" in our manna of the Word.
We can now rest in His promises concerning end time events. There is never going to be a pre-trib rapture and every date for it will fail as have countless others.
"Abide in Him", not the hopium.

Amen! And because you have been freed from the bondage of fear and dependence on a single individual instead of a personal relationship with Christ, you will be able to grow in the peace that surpasses all understanding. God Bless you! :-)
ReplyDeleteMy son and I left such a ministry about 6 yrs ago when yet another earthquake prophecy failed to happen.
ReplyDeleteHowever, there were other disturbing issues with this ministry. People who were following this man were getting wilder in their own predictions. It was as if in order to be a "good follower" one had to be experiencing all sorts of dreams, visions, signs, etc. And the head of this ministry seemed to welcome and even encourage this bizarre behavior.
It came to the point where in my spirit, I noticed that his present teachings seemed to be based mainly on his past framework of solid bible study and experience, (just like the Lord spoke of in the Stanley Frodsham propehcy).
Another disturbing thing is that he didn't seem to have any genuine love for others. One way or another, out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh, and the Holy Spirit will raise up red flags of warning when his people are being deceived, IF they are really trying to know Him and seeking the truth.
It took the Holy Spirit's warnings to pull many of us out of the apostate churches. We simply must know the Word of God for ourselves. There is no other way than that, and to be taught by Him.
Regarding the time is at hand...the only urgency I feel is to "Seek the LORD while He may be found". And trust Him. He knows what he's doing and I'm at peace with that however He chooses to work things out.

Sharlene...This is especially important, we need to be delivered from ALL fear…the Lord said I did not give you a “Spirit” of fear; 2Ti 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Sharlene...The word says we are kings and priest unto our God…if you believe what the bible is saying here…that includes women..the word does not say excluding women or uses the term queen….NO!...all believers are equal in Gods eyes. We are to be clearing our land of all Idols or idolatry. Our land is our little mobile tabernacles we have no excuse not to present ourselves on Gods altar to become a clean and living sacrifice unto God….he loves the smell of burnt flesh..our flesh! Rev 1:6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. Rev 5:10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth. Once we come into this understanding and search out the word for ourselves deception is exposed!
