A Proverb and a revelation
Proverbs 7, and we thought it was only a morality story..
How "naive" we were!
I looked at some of the key words and *wow*.
𝙉𝙖𝙞𝙫𝙚:
"𝙩𝙤𝙤 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙤 𝙗𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙫𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙩𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙩𝙝,"
The elder speaks:
Prov. 7:6 For at the window of my *house (*His House is holy)
I (wisdom) looked out through my lattice, (God's Word)
7 And I saw among the 𝙉𝙖𝙞𝙫𝙚,
And discerned among the youths
A young man lacking sense, (unawares-lacking understanding)
8 Passing through the street near her corner (tower. steeple);
𝑨𝒏𝒅 𝒉𝒆 𝒕𝒂𝒌𝒆𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 *𝒘𝒂𝒚 𝒕𝒐 𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒔𝒆,
(𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙚-𝙢𝙤𝙙𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣)
(𝑯𝒆𝒓 𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒔𝒆: temple-prison, a place of worship that entraps)
9 In the twilight, 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈,
(he does not have full "Light", the personal revelation of scripture and the Spirit of God)
In the middle 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒏𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒅𝒂𝒓𝒌𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔.
(the "evening" leads him to the darkness, no longer in the Light of the gospel)
10 And behold, 𝒂 𝒘𝒐𝒎𝒂𝒏 comes to meet him,
𝑫𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒆𝒅 𝒂𝒔 𝒂 𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒍𝒐𝒕 and cunning of heart.
11 She is boisterous and rebellious,
Her feet do not remain at home;
("𝘀𝗵𝗲" 𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟭𝟳 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝟭𝟴 𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗼𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗕𝗮𝗯𝘆𝗹𝗼𝗻. 𝗦𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗵𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗹𝘀. 𝗦𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗵 *𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺*)
12 𝙎𝙝𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙩𝙨, 𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙦𝙪𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙨,
And lurks by every corner.
( "she" is easy to find..
13 So she seizes him and kisses him
And with a brazen face she says to him:
14 “I was due to offer peace offerings; Today I have paid my vows.
15 “Therefore I have come out to meet you,
To seek your presence earnestly, and I have found you.
( 𝒔𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒇𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒆𝒔 𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒓𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒈𝒊𝒐𝒖𝒔 𝒘𝒂𝒚, "𝒑𝒂𝒊𝒅" 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒑𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒏𝒐𝒘 𝒔𝒆𝒆𝒌𝒔 𝒕𝒐 "𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒉 𝒐𝒖𝒕" 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒔𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒔..)
16 “I have spread my couch 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀,
𝑾𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒄𝒐𝒍𝒐𝒓𝒆𝒅 𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒏𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝑬𝒈𝒚𝒑𝒕.
17 “I have sprinkled my bed
With myrrh, aloes and cinnamon.
18 “Come, let us drink our fill of love until morning;
Let us delight ourselves with caresses.
(𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙢𝙖𝙙𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙖𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙛𝙪𝙡, 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚, 𝙚𝙣𝙟𝙤𝙮𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚, 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙡𝙙𝙡𝙮 (𝙀𝙜𝙮𝙥𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙩𝙮𝙥𝙚) 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙨𝙝𝙚 𝙘𝙡𝙖𝙞𝙢𝙨 𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙚 "𝙘𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨" 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙗𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙛𝙞𝙩. 𝙖𝙠𝙖 𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙗𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙛𝙨. 𝙃𝙚𝙧 𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙛𝙡𝙚𝙨𝙝.)
19 “For 𝒎𝒚 𝒉𝒖𝒔𝒃𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒊𝒔 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒂𝒕 𝒉𝒐𝒎𝒆,
𝑯𝒆 𝒉𝒂𝒔 𝒈𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒐𝒏 𝒂 𝒍𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝒋𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒏𝒆𝒚;
(she is the unfaithful bride that claims Christ as her own)
20 He has taken a bag of money with him,
At the full moon he will come home.”
(𝑪𝒉𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒕 𝒂𝒔𝒄𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑭𝒂𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒉𝒂𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒓𝒊𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒈𝒐𝒔𝒑𝒆𝒍 𝒕𝒐 𝒃𝒆 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝒍𝒚 𝒈𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒏 𝒕𝒐 𝑯𝒊𝒔 𝒃𝒆𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒅)
21 With her many persuasions she entices him;
With her flattering lips she seduces him.
(come to our church...")
22 Suddenly he follows her
As an ox goes to the slaughter,
Or as one in fetters to the discipline of a fool,
23 Until 𝒂𝒏 𝒂𝒓𝒓𝒐𝒘 𝒑𝒊𝒆𝒓𝒄𝒆𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉 𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒍𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒓;
As a bird hastens to the snare,
So he does not know that 𝙞𝙩 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙘𝙤𝙨𝙩 𝙝𝙞𝙢 𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙚.
(𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒍𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒄𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒏s 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒃𝒍𝒐𝒐𝒅.
𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒂𝒓𝒓𝒐𝒘 𝒊𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒅 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑺𝒑𝒊𝒓𝒊𝒕.
𝑰𝒕 𝒑𝒊𝒆𝒓𝒄𝒆𝒔 𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒍𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒓, 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒕 𝒐𝒓 𝒂𝒏𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒃𝒐𝒅𝒚 𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒕!)
24 Now therefore, my sons, listen to me, (the wisdom of the elder)
And pay attention to the words of my mouth.
25 Do not let your heart turn aside to her ways,
Do not stray into her paths.
26 𝑭𝒐𝒓 *𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒚* 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒗𝒊𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒔 𝒔𝒉𝒆 𝒉𝒂𝒔 𝒄𝒂𝒔𝒕 𝒅𝒐𝒘𝒏,
("many". Many shall come in His name and deceive many.
And numerous are all her slain.
27 𝑯𝒆𝒓 𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒔𝒆 is the way to Sheol,
Descending to the chambers of death.
(her "house-prison" is a temple, the way is the Broad way,
Sheol is the place of the lost dead, aka hell.
Some will say grave, but that is another subject.
Some of us were the "naive" young man, I would say the majority.
I was one. I got my ministerial credentials in one of her houses.
Some of us overcame her, she returns for mention in Revelation 2, and is called "Jezebel". Later in Revelation 17 and 18 she is revealed as "Mystery Babylon the Great"..
Babylon the Great, the mother of harlots, becomes the church system with its' confusion of doctrines, buildings, organizations, ministries, all seductively calling people to her "house" while all claim Christ as husband.
Hence the holy Spirit says "Come out of her *my* people..."
-Rev. 18:4
